HOW DOES OUR STUDIO WORK?
We charge a studio fee of $7 for kids 12 and under, and $10 for ages 13 and over. This fee is good for the day and covers unlimited use of supplies and firing. Plus the cost of each item you paint. Pottery ranges in price from about $14.00 to $150.00. All of our pottery is then hand dipped in a clear glaze to make sure it's food safe. Are items are ready for pick up in about 7-10 days. We always give you a call when your items are completed.
Why does it take 7-10 days? Well, once you paint it, we let it dry for 24 hours, then it gets hand dipped into glaze, and dries for another 24 hours. We then hand load each item into one of our 3 kilns, and fire them up! Our pottery reaches a temperature of 1800 degrees! This whole firing process takes about 2 days to complete. Then the item must be ground down on the bottom to remove any firing marks, wrapped up and returned back to you! So your artwork really is one of a kind, and hand made!
As always, we do not require reservations but strongly recommend them on weekends and days when children are off from school. Call 610-687-9777. Our Studio is Closed on the following holidays: Memorial Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving Day, & Christmas Day.
We have shortened studio hours on New Years Eve, Thanksgiving Eve, & Christmas Eve. Please check our website for the most updated calendar of events.
